Christian Art Gift Guide

Christian Art Gift Guide:

September 2025

Let your gift of artwork speak care, reflect and celebrate faith, bring inspiration and encouragement and stay meaningful for years to come.

Gifting art is always personal, but when it’s Christian art, it can become something even more meaningful: a reminder of God’s love, a source of encouragement, and a spiritual anchor. Whether you're buying for a birthday, wedding, holiday, Christmas, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day or just because, here’s a simple guide to help you choose the perfect piece of Christian artwork for someone you care about, and for that right occasion.

1. Consider the choice of artwork in that it should honour and is relevant to where the recipient is in life’s journey:-

  • Is the person going through a season of joy, struggle, or growth?
  • Are they celebrating a milestone, like a wedding, baptism, or graduation?
  • Do they have a favourite Bible verse, story, or spiritual theme?
  • What kind of message or imagery might speak directly to their current chapter in life?
  •  Could they use a reminder of God’s promises during a difficult time?
  • Has God recently opened a new door in their life?
  • Have they recently experienced a breakthrough or blessing?
  • Have they had a significant time of change or a shift?

2. Think about their space:-

Where might they display the art?

  • A cozy reading nook?
  • A family living room?
  • An office or workspace?
  • A prayer corner?
  • As a feature above a couch, armchair or bed?
  • On a bookcase, desk, buffet, or hallstand?

A MiCoo Art & Décor tip:                                                                                                           * A good rule for choosing art size is to make it about two-thirds the width of the furniture below.                                                                                                                                     * A small sized piece can be just as meaningful as a large wall print, especially in small apartments, or workspaces.

3. Match their personal style:-

Faith is universal, but aesthetic tastes vary:

  • In a home with a rustic aesthetic consider artwork that has warm tones, vintage details, or farmhouse charm, this type of art is timeless and can add depth and meaning.
  • For a very traditional space consider detailed artworks, serene landscapes, floral prints, or beautifully scripted Bible verses to complement the traditional feel.
  •  In a modern space look at abstract symbolic prints, minimalistic works, abstracted landscapes, geometric designs, and monochrome art prints.
  • For the mid-century or retro style explore mid century themed artworks, or word art with a retro typographical script

Take note of the dominant colour palette in the space and pick up on those tones, working with them.

Consider other artworks & décor already in the space that your gift may go with. Ensure that your gift choice complements existing décor.

Note:-

  • If choosing prints that incorporate a verse or it is a word art print, ensure the text is easily readable for the area it could be displayed. This may necessitate a larger print size choice.
  • Is a horizontal or vertical print a better choice?
  • Does the individual appreciate modern wall art, soft florals, landscapes, abstracted depictions of nature, mid-century or retro style, vintage look art, minimalistic wall art, monochrome prints, geometric designs, or bold typography?
  • Is the person drawn to traditional depictions (e.g., crosses, doves), or more abstract, symbolic styles?
  • Do the people you are giving the gift of art to enjoy prints with scripture, or words alone that are artistically scripted, or prefer visual interpretations?

A MiCoo Art & Décor tip: Choose formats (canvas, framed print, poster) and sizes and a colour palette that suits their space and taste.

4. Choose a print that speaks: -

Inspired based wall art can be especially powerful. When choosing artwork as a gift think about:-

  • What is especially meaningful to the person, what are they drawn to? E.g. nature, symbolic images, spiritual and/or cultural elements, specific themes like Hope, Transformation, Peace, Freedom, Rest, just to name a few.
  • Their favourite life verse or a meaningful quote.
  • A specific verse or passage from the Bible tied to a significant life event.
  • Verses or images that reflect their personality or calling.
  • What qualities or values does this person live by?
  • What encourages or motivates them in their daily walk?
  • If you’re unsure, consider gifting a piece with a universally encouraging verse, or a print that emphasises God’s love and care, or an artwork that celebrates the beauty of creation, or a unique abstract print with spiritual symbolism.

A MiCoo Art & Décor tip: You could even frame multiple small prints as a scripture wall set or pair a print with meaningful word art.

6. Presenting the gift:-

Let the gift reflect care:

  • Include a handwritten note with the gift, sharing why you chose it.
  • Wrap or use a gift box and present the art in colour tones that reflect the print itself.
  • Choose a thoughtful time and setting to give the gift, perhaps during a quiet moment, after a meaningful conversation, or at a special gathering.
  • Consider pairing the art with a small easel (for desk-size pieces), hanging hardware, or even a devotional book or a symbolic token (like a flower, potted plant, piece of jewellery, or ornament) to make the gift even more complete.

Final thought :-

When you give Christian art, you’re blessing the recipient by offering encouragement, peace, inspiration, a visual reminder that speaks to the soul.

Small gift.    Big reminder: God is near.
